SOUTH ALABAMA HEAD COACH JOEY JONES:

“This has been a first-class experience all the way. Our players are excited about it. This is truly a treat for our program. This is what you think a bowl game should be like. It has all been about the players. In talking with (Camellia Bowl Executive Director) Johnny Williams he told me we are doing all of this for the players. All the rest of us can figure it out but this is about the players. These guys have enjoyed themselves and have been treated like royalty.”

(Former) BOWLING GREEN HEAD COACH DINO BABERS:

“This has been a great week. The Camellia Bowl and the city of Montgomery have been wonderful hosts. This has been a first class event. We are excited about the football game and we can’t wait for it to happen.”

APPALACHIAN STATE HEAD COACH SCOTT SATTERFIELD:

“No question, we’ve had a great week here in Montgomery. Right from the start, on Tuesday when we got here, Johnny (Williams) and his (Camellia Bowl) staff did an outstanding job with this bowl game. We don’t have a whole lot to compare it to, but if we’re fortunate to make it to another bowl, they’re going to have to really live up to the standards that they set here in Montgomery because it’s been phenomenal, not only for our staff but our players. I think every one of our players would say the same. And, then, Appalachian State, all of our fans started filing in here on Thursday or Friday and it started feeling big-time again, like a big-time game for us. It’s been a great week. It’s been a great week for us. I told Johnny that on the (postgame) stage that, win or lose, it’s been a great week. It just so happens that we won so it’s been an unbelievable week for us.”
