AS PART OF MULTI-EVENT COLLEGE FOOTBALL AGREEMENT WITH ESPN EVENTS 

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Camellia Bowl and ESPN Events have announced TaxAct® as the title sponsor of the 2021 Camellia Bowl at the historic Cramton Bowl in Montgomery. Featuring a matchup of Sun Belt and Mid-American Conference teams, the 2021 TaxAct Camellia Bowl will be played Saturday, December, 25, 2021 and televised by ESPN at 1:30 p.m. ET.

“One of the signature sports events of the year in our community, the Camellia Bowl has produced some exciting, down-to-the-wire college football finishes through the years. On behalf of the Camellia Bowl and City of Montgomery, we’re pleased that TaxAct has chosen to be a part of our bowl game through this sponsorship opportunity,” said executive director Johnny Williams.

TaxAct®, a leading provider of affordable digital and downloadable tax preparation solutions, will also serve as the title sponsor of the Texas Bowl in Houston (January 4, 2022) as part of a multi-event college football agreement with ESPN Events.

The Camellia Bowl has produced many dramatic finishes in its seven-year history, with three-game winning field goals and two fourth-quarter touchdowns. There have been two walk-off wins, including game-winning field goals by Appalachian State (2016) and Georgia Southern (2018). The seven games have been decided by 32 total points.
